PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters (Set of 4)

The PF-2 reduction elements screw onto the bottom of the Black Berkey water purification elements and work in conjunction to adsorb the following unwanted elements found in drinking water.

• Fluoride
• Arsenic V and pre-oxidized Arsenic III
• Other residual heavy metal ions

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

FLUORIDE: Testing for fluoride was based on 20-30ppm of the ion in the influent aqueous solution at a flow rate of no more than 3 gpm (11 lpm) per cubic foot of media. Results of < 1ppm of the fluoride ion in the effluent were typical for the media (>95% reduction). Under optimum conditions, effluent concentrations of less than 50 ppb were readily achieved (>99.75% reduction).

ARSENIC: This product uniquely targets the entire family of arsenic oxide anions as well as the arsenic cations.

REPLACEMENT:  Under normal circumstances, a set of 2 fluoride filters should be replaced every 1000 gallons

    Arsenic and Fluoride Berkey Filter

    This filter is an important adjunct to the black filters that purify tap water. Unfortunately they only last approximately 8 months to a year for those who hydrate properly. At this frequency they are a definite expense...however, the potential damage caused by contaminants in water can have a greater cost on one's health. I have used the berkey system for over 3 years and will continue to use it because I value my HEALTH and WELL BEING.

    I have used my Berkey water purification system for a little over one year. I purchased the maximum number of filters for my Big Berkey (4 black elements and 4 PF-2 filters.) The quality of the water is excellent. The time frame for capturing the filtered water is extremely slow. Without the PF-2 filters it is substantially faster and the bottom chamber can hold substantially more water (since there is NO displacement from the 4 PF-2 filters.) I have chosen quality over speed. For those looking to buy this equipment, I suggest you also purchase glass 1/2 gallon bottle to store your daily filtered water. This way you don't have to concern yourself with the speed of filtration. S.N. I have (multiple times) properly cleaned and re-primed the black elements and re-checked the flow from the PF-2 filters. This is simply the way my system works.

    I could tell it was time to put in my new fluoride filters when my water taste changed. So much better now. I did find I has an oil film with this batch but after some research it just needed to filter more. This was a pain for a bit.

    Works great fifters a lot of impurities out with the big Berkey kit .For pure water go with the big Berkey line fifters & devices

    The water tastes great! We use it for almost everything. We fill bottles with our Berkey water so when we leave our house the kids have the best and won't consume the harsh chemicals and fluoride that's in most city water.
